She can read Jezebel and Ms. Magazine while she gets a glitter manicure, and wear Louboutins to the office or to the lab. 'Nistas is the meeting place for all the different sides of every woman.
Comics in general are cool. These comics are hip AND cool. One page of 'Nistas is like an episode of Sex in the City, but funnier and more meaningful because each one comes from Candi's heart.
I downloaded the book and couldn't stop myself from finishing it right then and there. Relationships, politics, fashion, sexuality - 'Nistas is dead on and makes you laugh out loud. It's honest, and so funny (did I say that already?).
As Candi says in her introduction, 'Nistas are "what every woman can be if she takes a look inside and finds the source of her amazingness."

You have to read these. She's so dang witty and honest in a way that you just know she's talking about you specifically. Beautifully written and illustrated from start to finish.
I enjoyed this romp of fiction with hints of reality. It was an interesting read with me agreeing and laughing. It was funny and entertaining, making me smile. The conversations remind me of conversations I have held.
These comics are hilarious! You totally recognize people you know while reading these strips. I simply can't wait for more!
Loved the uniqueness, the style, and the comedy of this story. It was a read for all and ever woman!
I love these simple (but truly fabulous!) line drawings of women friends gossiping, laughing and speaking truth to every day experiences of the modern woman. Some of them are subversive, some of them are sly, but most of them are just laugh out loud funny because they are so very true! This is a great and quick read for women (and men who want to understand them) who want a pick me up or a really great laugh (at themselves).
